Title & Legal

Registry searches, land certificates, encumbrance opinions and contract drafting.

The single largest source of loss in Cameroonian property is documentation, not construction. Our title desk runs registry searches, processes land certificates, resolves overlapping claims and drafts the contract you actually sign. Opinions are written to a standard banks accept as security documentation.

What you receive

  • Land Registry search and chain-of-title report
  • Boundary walk with the government surveyor
  • Encumbrance, litigation and overlap check
  • Land certificate processing and follow-up
  • Contract drafting and notarial coordination

How it runs

  1. 1

    Instruct

Send us the parcel reference or the survey plan. We confirm scope and fee within one working day.

  2. 2

    Search

Registry search at the competent land office, plus a physical boundary walk to confirm beacons match the plan.

  3. 3

    Opinion

A written opinion setting out who holds title, what encumbers it, and what must happen before money moves.

  4. 4

    Execute

Where you proceed, we draft, coordinate the notary and follow registration through to the certificate landing in your name.

Questions we get

How long does a land certificate take?

Where the chain of title is clean, typically four to nine months depending on the land office. We report monthly with the file reference so you can see where it sits.

Will a bank accept your opinion?

Our opinions are written to the documentation standard the major local banks require for mortgage security, and we deal with their counsel directly where needed.
